DO YOU HAVE POWERED SITES?
Yes, we have a few powered sites. A couple of them are on the waterfront and some are around our lily pond.
CAN I RUN MY AIR-CON ON THE POWERED SITE?
Yes, you can but it depends what else is using power at the same time. What you can run on the power supply depends on your overall draw.
DO YOU ALLOW GENERATORS?
Yes, we allow quiet generators between 8am and 11am and between 2pm and 5pm. Maximum run time 2 hours at a time.
DO YOU HAVE A DUMP POINT?
Yes, we do. It is located near the entrance.
DO YOU HAVE WATER?
Yes, we have bore water tabs on each site (non-potable)
IS YOUR BORE WATER OK FOR DRINKING?
We don't get the bore water tested - it is non-potable water.
DO YOU HAVE DRINKING WATER?
Yes, we have a drinking water tank next to the dump point area near the entrance.
CAN I RUN THE BORE WATER THROUGH MY VAN?
Yes, the bore water is fine to run through your van and to use for washing up & showering etc.
DO YOU HAVE CABINS/ONSITE ACCOMMODATON?
Yes, we have different types of cabins, safari style family tents & onsite vans available for hire. Our onsite accommodation options and their sites are not pet-friendly (assistance dogs excepted).
DO YOU HAVE A SHARED AMENITIES BLOCK?
No, we don't have shared amenities. We do have private ensuites and portaloos for hire that can be set up on your site.
ARE YOU PET-FRIENDLY?
Yes, we are on our campsties. Dogs have to be contained when in the campground, either on leash or in a fenced enclosure. We have a large off-leash area as well (unfenced) where you can exercise your dogs. If you are anywhere near the office/reception, your dogs have to be on leash. Please make sure to pick up after your dog.

CAN I LEAVE MY DOG AT THE CAMPSITE WHEN I GO FISHING OR TO TOWN?
No, please do not leave your dogs unattended at your campsite/van/motorhome etc. at any time. Please see the office if you need recommendations for a pet sitter in case you want to do day trips etc.
WHAT IS THE PHONE RECEPTION LIKE?
Telstra & Optus reception is very good, Vodafone is very patchy.
CAN I GET TV RECEPTION?
There is no tv reception here unless you have a satellite dish.
HOW MUCH IS IT?
We charge per person, not per site.
The price depends on:
- how many people it is for -
adult (16+) and kids (2-15)
- what you would like to book and
- how long you want to stay (weekly specials available). Feel free to give us a ring for a quote.
ARE YOUR PRICES PER SITE OR PER PERSON?
We charge per person, not per site.
CAN I PAY ON ARRIVAL OR DO YOU TAKE A DEPOSIT ?
We take a first night deposit for all bookings at time of booking. You can pay per credit card over the phone or per direct deposit - please send us an email if you pay per direct deposit so we can easily locate your payment.
DO I NEED TO BOOK?
Yes, we highly recommend booking in advance as we often book out.
WHAT'S THE BEST WAY TO BOOK?
You can book online, per phone, per email or facebook msg. All onsite accommodation, Christmas and Easter bookings must be made either per phone or email - you can't book them online.
CAN I BOOK FOR MY FRIENDS UNDER MY NAME?
No, we don't do large group bookings under one name. You can book your site and reserve sites for your family/friends which we will hold for 24 hours. We prefer if everyone books for their own family as this allows us to check with everyone in regards to their requirements.
CAN I CAMP NEXT TO MY FRIENDS/FAMILY?
Sure, we will try to get you as close to your family/friends as possible (subject to availability).
CAN I BOOK A SPECIFIC SITE?
You are welcome to let us know your preference and we will try to make it work for you. But we don't guarantee site numbers as they are subject to availability and can change without notice. If you book a waterfront site, you will always stay on a waterfront site though. If you have booked together with friends and/or family, we won't split you up but move you as a group.
WHAT DO I DO IF I WANT TO CANCEL MY BOOKING?
All cancellations must be in writing to be eligible for a refund and/or credit. Refunds and/or credits will be given if the cancellations is received within the cancellation period. No refunds and/or credits will be given after the cut-off date (please see Terms & Conditions in regard to cut-off dates for High Peak, Peak and Off Peak periods)
CAN I GET A REFUND IF IT RAINS AND/OR POOR WEATHER IS FORECAST?
No refund and/or credits will be given if you cancel after the cut-off date (please see Terms & Conditions) as general poor weather conditions are not considered grounds for a refund or credit
Exception: We will offer a refund and/or credit if we get a severe weather warning for the area and/or the safety of our guests is at risk.
CAN I GET A REFUND IF I LEAVE EARLY?
No refunds and/or credits are given if you decide to leave early.
CAN I GET A REFUND IF MY FRIENDS DON'T COME?
Please contact us as early as possible if you need to change your booking. No refund and/or credit will be given after cut-off dates if your friends decide not to come.
PLEASE LOOK AFTER THE ENVIRONMENT
Mangroves are a protected species - please look after the environment and don't destroy or damage any trees or habitat on the riverbank.
WHAT TIME IS CHECK-IN & CHECK-OUT?
Check-In campsites: 11am.
Check-In Onsites Accommodation: 2pm.
Check-Out: 10am.
CAN I CHECK IN EARLIER?
We are usually busy in the campground in the morning and the reception is unattended. It's best to check-in from 11am onwards.
CAN I HAVE A LATE CHECK-OUT?
Late check-out is available but subject to availability. We usually charge a fee for late check-out as we won't be able to re-book the site for that day.
CAN I DROP MY BOAT/VAN OFF EARLIER?
Yes, you can. Please arrange this with reception prior to your arrival day.
HOW BIG ARE THE SITES - CAN I FIT TWO CARS, A BOAT AND A VAN ON THE SITE?
Our sites are quite large, most of them will fit 2 caravans, 2 cars and a boat etc, but it all depends on your set up. If you want more space on your site, you are welcome to park cars & boats behind the camping area in the paddock.
WHERE IS THE CLOSEST SHOP/FUEL?
The closest convenience store is at Rosedale, approx. 25km north of us. Another shop is located at Yandarran approx. 30km south of us. Both also sell fuel and bait.
DO YOU SELL ICE?
Yes, we well party ice in 5kg bags at the office.
DO YOU SELL BAIT?
We sell prawns & squid, but no crab pot bait.
WHAT ELSE DO YOU SELL AT THE OFFICE?
We also sell local honey, free-range eggs (if the hens are laying) and locally made cast nets and crab pots (if in stock).
DO YOU SELL MILK & BREAD?
No, we don't, but we might be able to help you out in emergencies; just come and ask at reception
CAN WE HAVE A CAMPFIRE?
Yes, you can (subject to weather conditions). We have firepits on each site (free of charge) for your convenience.
CAN I BRING MY OWN FIREPIT?
Yes, you can as long as it is off the ground and enclosed on the sides.
DO YOU SELL FIREWOOD?
Yes, we sell bags of firewood at the office.
DO YOU SELL KINDLING?
No, we don't sell any kindling, please byo.
CAN I BRING MY OWN FIREWOOD?
Yes, you can as long as it is untreated timber.
CAN I COLLECT FIREWOOD ON THE PROPERTY
We have a designed woodpile where you can collect firewood - please enquire at the office. You are NOT allowed to collect any driftwood or other branches, logs from the riverbank or anywhere else on the property
CAN WE RIDE DIRT BIKES/MOTORBIKES OR GO 4W-DRIVING ON THE PROPERT?
No, we don't allow dirt bikes, motorbikes or 4W-driving on our property.
DO YOU HIRE OUT KAYAKS AND/OR BOATS?
No, we don't..You have to bring your own.
IS THE CREEK SAFE FOR SWIMMING?
It is a tidal creek and the campground is approx. 4km from the ocean. There is quite a strong current depending on where you are.
